C. A. HEISLER SERVICES HELD HERE APRIL 12

Funeral services for Charles A. Heisler, pioneer resident of Verden, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at the First Methodist Church, Verden, with the pastor, Rev. Tom Graham, officiating. Burial was in the Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Seago, Mrs. Harry Dodson, and F. G. Ransbarger of Chickasha. Mrs. F. G. Ransbarger accompanied the group who sang :Precious Memories," "When They Ring the Golden Bells" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer."

Casket bearers were S. C. Loveless, Earl Chambless, Eckel Hinkle, Herschel Campbell, Paul DeBoard and John Kern.

Charles A. Heisler was born in Braceville, Illinois, December 27, 1889 and passed away in the Chickasha hospital, Chickasha, Okla., on April 10, 1955, at the age of 65 years, three months and 13 days.

His family moved from Illinois to southeast of Verden in 1902 and he has made his home there until the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Miss May Whitley, April 6, 1916 and to this union was born three children, two having preceded him in death. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Verden, Okla.

Those left to mourn his departure are his wife, Mrs. May Heisler of Verden, one daughter, Mrs. Bob Lamar, Chickasha; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Zimmerman of Memphis, Tennessee and Mrs. P. S. Kern of Anadarko; two brothers, Phillip Heisler, Chickasha and Bert E. Heisler of Verden, also a host of other relatives and friends.
