Eva Alwilda [Whitsonon] Heavin

Funeral service for Eva Alwilda Heavin age 88 of Verden, Oklahoma will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 19, 2010 in the First Baptist Church of Verden with Reverend Kenyon Bush officiating.

Eva Alwidla Heavin was born May 28, 1921 at Mt. Pearl, Colorado to W.R. and Ida Pauline Whitsonon. She died Friday May 14, 2010 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She and Lester Virgel Heavin were married January 31, 1942 in Anadarko. He preceded her in death September 28, 2008.

Mrs. Heavin graduated from Anadarko High School. She and her husband Lester farmed in Grady and Caddo Counties and had lived in the Verden area her entire married life.

She was a member of the Laverty Baptist Church.

Her grandson Blake Ryan Kennedy, one brother and four sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son Loren Heavin and wife, Betty, of Verden; two granddaughters: Tina Dolch of Verden and Laura Kennedy of Amber; four great-grandchildren: Clay Dolch, Hayle Dolch and Bryce Dolch of Verden, Jennifer Kennedy of Amber; one sister Vida Deatherage of Garland, Texas.

Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home
