LAST RITES HELD FOR MISS GENEVA HARMON SATURDAY Funeral services for Miss Geneva Harmon were conducted at the First Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 24, with Rev. C. C. Nance, Oklahoma City officiating, assisted by Rev. Roy Nance, Oklahoma City, Rev. A. C. Nance, Anadarko, and Rev. C. W. Taylor, Verden.
Music for the service was furnished by Mrs. Donald Brown and Mrs. I. H. Bilbrey, who sang "Rock of Ages." "Asleep in Jesus," "He Lives on High" and "Sweet Bye and Bye." Mrs. Joy Horn planed the piano accompaniment.
Pallbearers were Robert Kern, Jerry Brown, Louis Nueriberger and Richard Brown, Jr. Interment was made in the Verden cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge.
Miss Harman was born September 30, 1916, and died November 22, 1944, at her home at the age of 28 years, one month, and 21 days. She made her home here and in Anadarko all of her life.
Surviving members of the family include her parents, Rev. and Mrs. P. F. Harman. Verden, three sisters, Mrs. Betty Brown, Verden, Mrs. Velma Ruse, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Mrs. Gladys Walker, Elk City; four brothers, Pete Harman, Salinas, Calif., Clarence Harman, Fresno, California, PFC Paul Harman, U S Army, stationed in Italy and Howard Harman, San Francisco, Calif.
