May 29, 2010 Marvin Ray Groseclose Jr Graveside funeral service for Marvin Ray Groseclose, Jr., age 57 of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010 in the Verden Cemetery, Verden, Oklahoma. Rodger Willis will officiate. Marvin was born August 24, 1952 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, the son of Marvin Ray and Willie B. Whaley Groseclose He died on May 29, 2010 in the care of his daughter at her home in Gore, Oklahoma. Marvin lived in Verden for most of his life. In earlier years he drove a truck cross country hauling grain. However, most of his life he worked in the oilfield. He worked his way up, and for the last 15 years, he was a sales representative in the oilfield industry. Marvin was a member of the Double Deuce Car Club and loved building and restoring old cars, camping and riding motorcycles. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Faye Tallent. He is survived by: Daughter and Husband: Rita and Shone Couch of Gore, Oklahoma, Son and Wife: Jimmy and Nohemi Groseclose of San Diego, California, Ex-Wife and Friend: Sharon Groseclose of Cement, Oklahoma, Best Friend Since Childhood: Micky King of Verden, Oklahoma, Sister and Husband: Donna Kay and Jake Carroll of Verden, Oklahoma, Brother and Wife: Carl and Cathy Groseclose of Verden, Oklahoma, Brother and Wife: John and Patricia Goucher of Verden, Oklahoma, Brother and Wife: Kenneth and Brenda Goucher of Verden, Oklahoma, Brother and Wife: Roy and Renada Goucher of Cyril, Oklahoma, Seven Grandchildren: Darrion, Shone, Sydnie, Christian, Craig, Marvin, and Sharon, several nieces, nephews and other Family. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
