William Julian Gray
Funeral service for William Julian Gray, 84, of Verden was held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 5, 1994 in the Verden First Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Whitley officiating. He was born March 2, 1910, in Valley View, Texas, the son of Julian Jason Gray and Stella Rodgers Gray. He died Friday Dec. 2, 1994 in Verden.
He married Ethel Lillian Newberry on Sept. 29, 1937, in Chickasha.
Mr. Gray moved from Texas to Wynnewood as a small child and to Clinton in 1927. He moved to Verden area in 1935 where he farmed and worked as a plumber until his retirement in 1981.
William attended the Pentecostal Church of God.
He was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, two sisters; one son, Billy Joe Gray; two grandchildren, Lisa Diane Gray on Feb 9, 1977, Roger Dale Lange on Oct. 24, 1984 and his wife, Ethel Gray on Oct 19, 1992.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Jearl Gray of Verden; five daughters, Dorthey Jean Wood, Sadie Pearl Varley, Catherine Sue Hooper, Brenda Ann Anthony, all of Verden, and Carol Joyce Schmidt of Rush Springs; a son, William Walter Lange of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Elsie Smith of Riatto, Calif., Dolly Cervantes of Cucamonga, Calif., Louise Cantrell and Ruth Lerma, both of Ontario, Calif.; a brother, Jess Gray of Duncan; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 31 great great grandchildren.
Interment will be Verden Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Binyon Funeral Home.

Funeral for William Julian Gray, 84, Verden, was held at 11: a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 1994 in Verden First Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Whitley officiating.
Pianist was Connie Johnson and singers were Connie Johnson and Teresa Fitzpatrick.
Casket bearers were Shane Martin, Tony Anthony, Ralph Gray, Robert Taylor, Skip Hensley and Phillip Ortiz.
Honorary bearers were Ray Williams and Bobby Joe Henry.
Interment was in Verden Cemetery under the direction of the Brown-Binyon Funeral Home, Verden.
