© Chickasha Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, April 19, 2006 September 20, 1946 ~ April 27, 2006 Funeral service for Wilma Raye [Cossey] Goucher, 59, of Verden, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha. Wilma Raye [Cossey] Goucher was born September 20, 1946 in Anadarko, Oklahoma the daughter of Denver and Audrey [McGhghy] Cossey and died April 17, 2006 at her home in Verden. Wilma and Roy Goucher had a daughter, Angela Willmon, who preceded her in death. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was also preceded in death by: parents: Denver and Audrey Cossey of Chickasha, one sister and brother-in-law: Fannie and Rick Davis of Norman; one niece and her husband: Amanda and Donnie Wright and their son, Shane of Yukon; grandchildren: Ashley, Amber and Brent Willmon of Chickasha; son-in-law: Steve Willmon of Chickasha. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
© Chickasha Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma July 2017 Janury 173, 1923 ~ July 31, 2017 Virgil Dane Goucher passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 94. He was born January 13, 1923 in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma to John Washington and Ruby Mae [Brown] Goucher. Virgil married Jimmie Louise Brackeen on October 29, 1962. He lived most of his life in Grady and Caddo County. He farmed and worked in the oil field. For eight years he served as city marshall in Verden and Cement. What he thoroughly enjoyed the most was driving trucks professionally which he owned and operated for many years before retiring when he was 82 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Virgil Dane Goucher and 2 daughters, Wanda Faye Tallent and Janice L. Bean. Virgil is survived by his wife, Jimmie Goucher; Children: Roy Washington Goucher and his wife, Rose; Sisters: Ginny Carr and Betty June Thatcher 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. |
Chickasha, Oklahoma September 2017 October 21, 1927 ~ September 9, 2017 Jimmie Louise Goucher, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Chickasha at the age of 89. She was born October 21, 1927 in Wirt, Oklahoma to Jim and Iva Pearl [Warden] Brackeen. Jimmie married Virgil Goucher on October 29, 1963 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She had been a beautician since 1956. She had also worked at Walmart in Chickasha for a number of years. She had also drove trucks with her husband. She loved her family gatherings and loved cooking for her family for the holidays. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Goucher on July 31, 2017; 2 sons, James “Shorty” Powell and Tommy Powell; Grandson, James Lance Powell; and sister, Marie Igo and an infant sister. Jimmie is survived by daughter-in-law, Patricia Powell; Grandsons: Tommy and Stephen Powell; Chad and Brandon Powell; 3 Stepsons: Roy Goucher and his wife, Rose; Kenneth Goucher and his wife, Barbara; and John Goucher and his wife, Pat; Nephew, Earl Chandler; Niece, Debbie Bryant, Many other Grand and Great Grand and Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who admired her. |
