© The Verden News Verden, Oklahoma October 16, 1931 September 2, 1860 ~October 12, 1931 Mrs. Tercy D. Glass died at her home in the southwest part of Fletcher at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning, after a serious illness of two weeks, caused by bowel trouble, aged 71 years, 1 month and 10 days. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. J. Cox in the Fletcher Baptist church at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, after which the body was brought to Verden for burial. Tercy D. Munsey was born on September 2, 1860 at Jones, Va. On September 19, 1880 she was united in marriage with J. N. Glass and to this union were born twelve children, two being deceased. The living children are: J. H. Glass, Phoenix, Ariz.; M. C. Glass, Fletcher; P. O. Glass, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Laura Rackley, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Minnie Denton, Fletcher; Booker Glass, Porter Glass and Ernest Glass, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Mrs. Flossie Welch, St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Grace Waddell, Taft, Calif. One son, B. C. Glass, died at the age of 15 in Virginia and Ray Glass died at the age of 17 at Verden, Okla. She is also survived by one brother, K. C. Munsey of Jonesville, Va., two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Rasnic of Wichita, Kansas and Mrs. Susan Johnson of St. Joseph, Mo., 37 grandchildren. Her husband died at Verden September 3, 1914. The family left their native state in 1910 and located at Verden, Okla., but later moved to Barnard, Mo. She joined the Baptist church while they lived in Virginia but never moved her membership. The three sons living at Brooklyn, N. Y. visited her about two weeks before here death. |

Glass of Verden, one of their twins, died at birth and was buried in the Verden cemetery Friday, September 16th. Funeral services were conducted by Elder J. L. Jackson.
