May 25, 1959 ~ February 13, 2004 Funeral service for Scott Cosgrove, age 44, of Pocasset, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at the Tuttle Church of Christ. Shawn Davis will officiate, and Dan Hill will assist. Scott was born May 25, 1959, in LaCrosse, Kansas. He died February 13, 2004, in Oklahoma City. At the age of eight, Scott was adopted by Neil and Joan Cosgrove. They eventually moved to Lubbock, Texas, where Scott graduated from Lubbock Christian High School. He then attended Abilene Christian University. In 1978, Scott was reunited with his biological brothers. For a short time, he operated his family's Tupperware warehouse before moving to Yukon in 1983. After moving to Yukon, he worked in the oilfield, ran a print shop, and for the past fourteen years operated a monument engraving service on a full-time basis. He married Karen Winn on November 24, 1984, in Minco, and has lived southwest of Pocasset since 1995. Scott was a member of the Tuttle Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Karen Cosgrove, and children Darcie, Daniel, and Caleb Cosgrove, of the home; parents, Neil and Joan Cosgrove of Yukon; brother, Steve Cosgrove of Allen, Texas; sister, Kelly Thompson of Allen, Texas, sister, Anita Kinter of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Don Cosgrove of Edmond; sister, Carrie Ackerman of Edmond; biological brothers Dan Hill of El Dorado, Kansas, Kevin Mackey of Branson, Missouri, and Matthew Roach of Florida. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home Memorial contributions made to the Scott Cosgrove Memorial Fund may be sent to the McRay Funeral Home, P. O. Box 806, Chickasha, OK 73023. |
