Bill Cole
1871 ~ February 14, 1929


Funeral services for Bill Cole, 58, who suffered a heart attack and died at his home in Verden June 18, were held Thursday afternoon in the Pentecostal Church of God. Rev. Charles Ledbetter officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dodson, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Brown, sang "God Will Take Care of You," "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and "Precious Memories." Pallbearers were S. A. Cox, Paul DeBoard, Carl Simmons, Phelan Mobbs, Fred Abbot and Bennie Kanouse.

Mr. Cole was born Aug. 7, 1903 in Spartinburg, S. C. He moved to Verden in 1957.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ollie Cole of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Beaulah May McLaughlin of Encino, Calif.; on son, Kenneth; two grandchildren; six step-children, Mrs. Olive McFerran of Dallas, Mrs. Betty Mullin, Mrs. Christine Page, Samuel Ary, Anthrum Ary and Jimmy Stevens, all of Redwood City, Calif.

Interment was in Verden Cemetery under the direction of Hansen's Funeral Home.
