JAMES EDWARD BURNETT SERVICES HELD SATURDAY

James Edward Burnett died at 1 a.m. December 23 at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 20 days. He was born January 3, 1865 at Troy, Illinois.

He was married January 20, 1904 at Temple, Okla. to Eva Webb.

He belonged to the Masonic lodge and was a 32 degree Mason.

He came here from Arizona about a year ago.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Helen Huston, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Ada Dodson and Mrs. Florence Jones, Verden and Mrs. Leah Hostler of Davenport, Iowa.

Rev. Garland Anderson conducted services at 2:30 p.m. December 24 at the Baptist Church.br>
Mrs. Donald Brown, Mrs. J. N. Kern, Mrs. Floyd Adkisson and Mrs. C. W. Hamill sang "Rock of Ages," "Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Isle."

The Masonic Lodge had charge of the service

Interment was in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of the Hansen Funeral Home.
