Chickasha, Oklahoma February 26, 2018 May 30, 1943 ~ February 26, 2018 Joan P. Brookshire was born the daughter of Clifton Marion Pace and Mary Marjorie McVey Pace on May 30, 1943 in Lawton, OK. She died on January 26, 2018 in Chickasha. Joan grew up in the Verden area. She was raised on the family farm where she helped around the farm and in the family garden. She graduated from Verden High School and lived in the Verden area all but a few years of her life. She loved to crochet. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Tom Brookshire; her parents; her brother Robert Pace; her sister Kathryn Pace; and her stillborn daughter. Joan is survived by her sons Robert Sharp, James Brookshire, Tony Brookshire and Leonard Melton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the Verden Cemetery in Verden, OK. Rev. Johnny Wray will officiate. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery. . |
