© The Verden News Verden, Oklahoma October 19, 1917 June 1835 ~ October 1917 Mrs. Mildred Susan Black, who lived southwest of town, died the first part of the week after a lingering illness of eleven months. Funeral services were held at the grave, conducted by Rev. Waldrep of the Methodist Church. Interment was made in the Verden cemetery. Mrs. Black was 82 years old and had been a devoted Christian and a member of the Methodist church since she was 15 years of age. |
