March 2018 Sandra Kay [Knox] Washburn Erick: Sandra Kay Washburn, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Elk City at the age of 76. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Rush Springs Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Phipps officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Sandra was born Wednesday, January 28, 1942 in Chickasha, to Walter and Pauline [Mullins] Knox. She went to school at El Dorado and Rush Springs. Sandra had lived in the Beckham county area most of her life, where she was a nurse for the Sayre hospital. She enjoyed crochet and embroidering. Sandra liked to read, watch movies, and play sodoku. Sandra had a green thumb for any indoor plants. She loved being around her family and enjoyed spending time with friends. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church in Erick. Survivors include, a son, Ronald Washburn of Rush Springs, a daughter, Tina Smith and husband Joe of Oklahoma City, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents. |
