Thomas Joe "Tommy" Van De Mark

Thomas Joe VanDeMark, 65, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Rush Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Thomas was born Wednesday, March 14, 1951 in Ardmore to Walter Boyd and Betty [Thomas] VanDeMark.

He attended and graduated from Rush Springs Schools.

On October 29, 1973 he married Shavone Stringfellow in Wichita Falls, Texas, she preceded him in death on October 15, 2007.

He made Rush Springs his home his entire life.

He proudly served his country as member of the United Stated Army.

He worked twenty five years and then retired from Halliburton Oil Services. Tommy enjoyed a simple life, he liked fishing, riding motorcycles, going camping, gardening and collecting things he liked. He loved his family, he liked giving those he loved a hard time, especially his daughter-in-law. Tommy will be remembered well and missed by many. He was member of Vimy Ridge Baptist Church. Tommy was preceded in death by his Grandparents, parents and a daughter, Karen VanDeMark.

Pallbearers will be: Woodrow Sweat, Kyle Foster, Chris Foster, Bobby Foster, Lynn Frick, and T.J. Reynolds.
