Dr Ruth [Glover] Spencer

Funeral service for Ruth Glover Spencer, Ph.D., 92, of Terrell, Texas, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at First United Methodist Church in Rush Springs, Okla. Rev. Harold Wheeler officiated.

Ruth Glover Spencer died on Thursday. Nov. 21, 2002, in Denton, Texas.

Burial was in Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel.

Lavonia Joy [Bond] Spencer

Chickasha: Lavonia J. Spencer, 80, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 in Chickasha, OK.

No services have been scheduled at this time.

Lavonia was born Monday, August 4, 1930 in Pauls Valley, OK, to Henry H. Bond and Blanche [Morris] Bond.

Lavonia attended Acme schools in her childhood.

On July 19, 1947 she married Harmon Spencer in Rush Springs. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Lavonia had lived in Chickasha for the past 6 months. Prior to that she had made her home in Rush Springs for 20 years.

Lavonia enjoyed cooking. She was a member of the Rush Springs Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Hayden J. Bond, and three sisters, Roma Jean Bond, Lavada Bond, Carolyn Watson
