[Bettie] Duckworth March 3, 1868 in Henderson County, TN. They had one son, Edgar Smith, born Sept. 1, 1888 in TN. He then married Isabelle Asemath Ross in 1892 in TN. according to the 1900 census. July 1932 Matilda Theodora [Greninger] Smith Funeral service for Matilda Smith, 74, Rush Springs, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Rush Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Friend officiating. Mrs. Smith was born in Charles City, Iowa, in 1898. She moved to Edmond at an early age, then to Fletcher for 28 years. She had been living in Rush Springs since November. She married William H. "Bill" Smith October 3, 1932 in Oklahoma City. She died Saturday morning in Grady Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband of the home; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Lilliam Grineger, Oklahoma City; one niece, Mrs. Ruby Ford of Beardon, Ark. Interment will be in the Rush Springs cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher. |

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at the Rush Springs Cemetery with David Hale officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Stanley was born Wednesday, July 22, 1914 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, to Roy Smith and Ethel [Patrick] Smith. Stanley married Pauline [Barry] Smith on July 2, 1935 in Rush Springs, OK. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2005. Stanley lived in the Rush Springs area most of his life before moving to Lindsay in 2005. He graduated from Rush Springs High School. Stanley retired from Mobil Oil Company as a field production technician. Stanley enjoyed working in the garden and playing with his dogs. He was a Mason, a member of the Rush Springs school board, served as deacon at the Southern Baptist Church and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindsay. Survivors include, Son, Charlie Roy Smith & wife Martha of Burnsville, NC; Daughter, Rosaline Hilderbrandt & husband Floyd of Lindsay, Oklahoma; five Grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Molly Sonier, Tammy Allison, Jamie Hilderbrandt, Phillip Hilderbrandt; 8 Great-Grandchildren, one Great-Great-Grandchild, two Brothers, Raymond Smith of Albuquerque, NM, Eugene Smith of Kalispel, MT; Sister, Nadine Anderson of Grissom, OR; A host of nieces and nephews. December 2015 Brunell Herbert Smith Brunell Herbert Smith, 98, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Marlow. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wed., December 30, 2015, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, OK. Brunell was born Friday, July 6, 1917 in Acme, OK, to John A Smith and Laura O'dell Smith. Brunell grew up in the Grady County area most of his life and attended Acme and Rush Springs Schools. Brunell then moved to Colorado for 23, and returned to Elgin where he met and married Linda E Brooks on April 29, 1938 in Fletcher. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2015. Brunell worked as an auto mechanic for over 30 years for the Ford Dealership. When he wasn't working he enjoyed being a ham radio operator, and going fishing. |

Rev. Elmer Whitehead will officiate. He was born Feb. 7, 1955, in Marlow, and died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1987, in the Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City of a sudden illness. He had lived in the Rush Springs area all his life and was an oil field driller. Survivors include his wife, Jo Smith of Rush Springs; two daughters, Patricia Dawn Smith and Malinda M. Smith, both of Duncan; his father, F. A. Smith of Rush Springs; two brothers, Duane Smith of Marlow, Gerald Smith of Pauls Valley; two sisters, Cindy Brooks of Marlow, Cathy Kuntz of Oklahoma City; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Suitor of Rush Springs, E. R. Mayes of Rush Springs. The family will be at Virginia Suitor's. Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel, Rush Springs. |
