June 1931 Pugh Daniel Simons Pugh Daniel Simons was born to Eaton Pugh Dawes Simons and Louise Jane Simons. Born February 14, 1885 in Purcell, Oklahoma, he had five siblings. He married Willie Belle Franklin on November 25, 1914 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. They had a daughter LuVeta and two sons, Pugh Jr. and Carol. The couple were married 36 years before he passed away in Rush Springs. |
January 1985 Willie Belle [Franklin] Simons Willie was the third of twelve children. Born in Texas, she moved with her family to Oklahoma. She met and married her husband, Pugh Simons, there when she was 20 years old. They had three children. At the age of 75 she wrote her great niece [Margie Allred] of her parents: "A very young couple met, fell in love - decided to marry and fight lifes battles together. Twelve children were born to them. All of them dear to their hearts and made welcome. Life held many adversities they met with courage and together. And tried to do their best for the little children entrusted to their care and lived to raise them all. A wonderful man and woman - my father and mother. Wish I could tell you more about them." Willie celebrated her 90th birthday at the Older American Center with her daughter, LuVeta, and friends. |
April 2001 Roberta Arlene Simons Lasenberry Funeral services for Roberta A. Simons Lasenberry, 74, of Duncan, formerly of Rush Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2001, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel. Rev. Alvin McConnell. 
Roberta A. Simons Lasenberry was born April 1, 1927, in Pointe, Texas. She died on Thursday, April 26, 2001, in Duncan. 
Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel. |
