Leona Mae Graves was born August 3, 1912 in Oklahoma City, Okla., and died Monday, January 17, 2005 at the Shanoan Springs Nursing Home in Chickasha, Okla. Interment will be at the Rush Springs Cemetery. |
Chikasha, Oklahoma May 2017 Helen Louise [Ridley] Pettijohn January 18, 1941 ~ May 9, 2017 Helen Louise Ridley, 76, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in Chickasha. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 15, 2017, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel, with officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Helen was born Saturday, January 18, 1941 in Rush Springs to Bernice and Leona [Heilman] Ridley. She graduated from Rush Springs High School. Following graduation, she worked in the Civil Service as a secretary for over 30 years. She married her loving husband, Author Pettijohn, in Texas in 1976. The couple made their home in the Fletcher area where they raised a family. Helen enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards and dominoes, playing dress up with her grandchildren, spending time with friends and family and watching Pioneer Woman on TV. She attended the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Author Pettijohn; sister, Jean Gilpin and her parents. |
