Helen LaVerne [Hale] Randolph

Our Heavenly Father welcomed Helen LaVerne Hale Randolph into his loving arms on Friday, June 17, 2005. She is celebrating now, as she was on her birth, August 4, 1923, when she was welcomed by Gladys Ivy McAdoo Hale and Ollie Webster Hale.

She grew up in Grady County and graduated from the Rush Springs High School.

She and Arthur Randolph were married 62 years at the time of his death on August 13, 2002. LaVerne is also preceded in death by her mother in 1928; her father on June 15, 1982; and her stepmother, Lillie Hale, on November 17, 1991.

Survivors include her daughter Loretta Randolph Wright and her husband Winfred of Oklahoma City, OK. Two brothers: Ollie Junior Hale of Rush Springs, OK and Archie Hale of Abilene, KS. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of longtime friends, most of whom she met during the 55 years in the car business and antique collecting, which was her passion. One of her greatest joys was giving to mothers With a Heart of Gold.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chickasha.

Those of us [who] were blessed by knowing LaVerne, will miss her beautiful smile and her unforgettable distinctive laugh. The family wishes to thank Jannette Steverson, Donita Martin and Della Green for their love and care for LaVerne.

In lieu of flowers any donation to the Gideon International, and/or, the American Diabetic Association, are greatly appreciated.

The family will hold a visitation, Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
