August 1971 Camella E. McKay Funeral Services for Mrs. C. E. McKay, 97, Were Held Aug. 4th Funeral services for Comella Eleanor McKay, 97, were held Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 2:30 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church in Rush Springs with Rev. Ray Howard of Temple and Rev. Harwood Rowe, pastor, officiating. Mrs. McKay, a resident of Rush Springs for 52 years, was born Oct. 30, 1873 in Alabama and died Tuesday, Aug. 3rd, at 4:45 a.m. in the Physician and Surgeons Hospital, Duncan, following a three week illness. She was married to Benjamin Harvey McKay who preceded her in death in 1927. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rush Springs. She had been a resident of Marlow Manor for the past few years. Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith Funeral Home. Survivors include three sons, Rush McKay of Marlow, W. C. McKay of Rush Springs and Ben McKay of Marietta; 4 daughters, Della James of Sunnyvale, Calif., Beulah Travis of Amarillo, Texas, Clara Mason of Konawa, and Callie Allen of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother E. P. McCullers and one sister, Miss Clara McCullers, both of Rush Springs; 34 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. |
