Kenneth McAdoo

Newark TX: Kenneth Mac McAdoo, 78, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 in Fort Worth, TX.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Haynes officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.


Kenneth was born Monday, November 9, 1936 in Rush Springs, to Archie and Mona [Haynes] McAdoo.

Kenneth lived most of his life in the Rush Springs area, where he graduated high school. After serving his country in the United States Army, he later attended Central State University where he was on the Deans Honor Roll and later graduated from the University of Oklahoma with his Masters Degree in Education.

He married Nell Hudson June 1, 1962 in Cox City, she preceded him in death June 13, 2011.

After Graduating college, Kenneth became a teacher and coach at Edmond and Wynnewood. Kenneth later returned to Rush Springs where he became Principal until he retired after 30 plus years in education.

For his incredible coaching he was inducted in to the Oklahoma Coaches Hall of Fame. He was also a member of Vimy Ridge Baptist Church where he was a Senior Adult Sunday School teacher and a former Rush Springs Lions Club member.

Kenneth loved spending time with his family and watching O.U. play. In fact, the only time he would buy pay-per-view was to watch O.U. games.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
