April 1970 Will John "Bill" Mann Funeral Services for Bill Man Were Held Here Friday Funeral services for Will John "Bill" Mann, 79, were held Friday, April 17, at 2 p.m. from the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs. D. Buster Reeves, pastor, and Don Wester, Shawnee, officiated Mann, a resident of Rush Springs for 32 years, was born on March 17, 1891 at Bolivar, Texas, and died April 16 at 3:30 a.m. in the Talley-Walker Hospital, Marlow. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Southern Baptist Church. He was married to Lillie V. Evans on Oct. 6, 1909 in Dallas, Texas, and she preceded him in death on April 17, 1968. Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith Funeral Home. Bearers were Junior Hale, Dale Jones, Bill Stewart, Paul Jones, Buster Austin and Kenneth Roberts. Honorary bearers were members of the Men’s Sunday School class of the Southern Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. James Lee, Mrs. J. E. McElroy and Mrs. D. M. McMain, all of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Charles Mann of Fort Worth, Texas; and six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. |
April 1969 Lillie V. "Lill" [Evans] Mann Services Were Held Friday For Mrs. Lillie Mann Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Victoria Mann, 76, were held Friday, April 19 at 2 p.m. from the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs. Rev. Gary Cook, pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. Don Wester, a former pastor here and now at Tecumseh. Mrs. Mann was born Oct. 14, 1891 in Ennis, Texas, and had been a resident of this area for 30 years. She died April 17 at the Talley-Walker Hospital in Marlow. On Oct 6, 1909 she was married to Will John Mann in Dallas, Texas. Burial was in the Rush Springs cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers wer Raymond Gibbs, Dale Jones, Alva Timms, Junior Hale, Waylon Reeves, and C. C. Jinks. Survivors include her husband, Bill, of the home address; three daughters, Mrs. James Lee of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. J. E. McElroy of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. D. M. McMain of Midlothian, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Cotton of Rush Springs and Mrs. J. E. Bailey of Dallas, Texas; one brother, R. A. Evans of Athens, Texas; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. |
