Rush Springs Gazette Rush Springs, Oklahoma Thursday, January 21, 1982, Page 1 Patsy June Kemp Rush Springs Gazette Rush Springs, Oklahoma Thursday, January 21, 1982, Page 1 Funeral services for Patsy June Kemp, 43, were held Tuesday at 2 pm from the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs. Rev Dan Pruitt, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Duncan officiating. Mrs. Kemp was born June 13, 1938, in Rush Springs. She died early Sunday morning following an automobile accident south of Chickasha near the Little Washita River Bridge. A pickup truck crashed into the back of her car forcing it off the road and into a bar ditch. Her car struck a tree, rolled an undetermined number of times and caught fire, officials said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She had lived in Rush Springs all of her life and was employed at the Pizza Inn in Chickasha. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Jerry Stewart, Ed Walters, Jim Norton, Bill Cope, Calvin Carner and Eddie Bennett. Honorary bearers were Bill Sweat, Joe Tunnell, Woody Meek and Zackie Walters. Burial was in the Rush Springs cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters, Cammy Tedder of Chickasha and Denise Williams of Russelville, Arkansas; one son, James Kemp of Rush Springs; her mother, Della Mae Bishop of Rush Springs; two sisters, Melba Brown of Chickasha and Delores Cecil of Rush Springs and two grandchildren. |
