Elizabeth Marie [Duke] Holding

Funeral services for Elizabeth Marie Holding, 89, of Seminole, Okla., formerly of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel.

Elizabeth Marie Holding was born Dec. 4, 1913, and died on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003.

Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Marie [Duke] Holding

Funeral service for Elizabeth Marie Holding, age 89, of Seminole, OK, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2003, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel.

Elizabeth was born the daughter of Thomas Pleasant Duke and Ollie Mae Rankin Duke on December 4, 1913, at the family home southwest of Chickasha.

She died November 9, 2003, in Seminole.

Elizabeth attended first through eighth grade at the Kechi School, then attended Cement High School until graduation.

In 1934, soon after graduation, she married H. T. Holding.

They lived many years in the Ninnekah area, where they farmed and reared their family.

In 1974, they moved to Chickasha, where she lived until moving to Seminole in 1994.

Elizabeth was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. T. Holding in 1992, two brothers, Harold and Ovyle Duke, and her parents.

Survivors include: son and wife, Tommy and Lynda Holding of Blanchard; daughter and husband, Patricia Ann and Terry Rackley of Shawnee; daughter and husband, Linda Kay and Ed Buss of Shawnee; sister, Flora Petty of Chickasha; sister-in-law, Elwanda Duke of Rush Springs; nephew and wife, Harold and Jackie Duke of Rush Springs; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
