Odis Worth Hix

Funeral services for Odis W. Hix, 85, of Rush Springs, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Services will be officiated by Rev. Elmer Whitehead.

Odis W. Hix was born May 12, 1919, in Marlow, Okla., and died on Friday, May 28, 2004, in Rush Springs.

Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery, Rush Springs, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, Marlow

Alice Blanche [Gragg] Hix

Rush Springs: Blanche Hix, 83, Rush Springs, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006 in Purcell.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at the Rush Springs Cemetery, with Rev. Elmer Whitehead officiating. Services are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, Oklahoma.

Blanche was born Sunday, April 22, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Aubrey and the late Esma [Williams] Gragg.

Harvey Dale Hitt
September 28, 1927 ~ April 28, 2010


Rush Springs: Harvey Dale Hitt, 82, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Chickasha.

Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with Pastor Michael Nunn officiating.

Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Okla.

Dale was born Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1927, in Bridgeport, Okla., to Jess Hitt and Essie Dowdy Hitt.

He lived in Rush Springs for the past 53 years and previous to that he lived in Anadarko.

Dale served his country during the Korean Conflict and as a member of the United States Army National Guard for 21 years.

He married Shirley Hammett on June 12, 1953 in Anadarko, Okla. Dale worked as a service technician for ONG. for 37 years.

He was a former president of the Rush Springs Lions Club and a member of the Rush Springs Volunteer Fire Department.

Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home, two sons, Max D. Hitt of Rush Springs and James Michael Hitt of Rush Springs, five Grandchildren, Shawna Voorheef and husband Darrin, Sasha Hitt, Meagan Hitt, Jamie Beard and husband Jeremy, and Jennifer McClure and husband Greg, seven Great-Grandchildren, Kyla Voorheef, Austin Voorheef, Brandon McClure, Blake McClure, Bradley McClure, Cole Beard, and Hadley Beard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Delbert Martin.

Pallbearers will be: Darrin Voorheef, Greg McClure, Jeremy Beard, Dick Bell, Lowell Dennis, Bon Dail Lentz. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cody Charleson, Johnny Walker, Roger Slater, Rick Adamson, Ron Edwards, Bob White, Buddy Bedoka, Jeff Roberts, Ronnie Hines, Dennis Thompson, and Richard Krey.
