© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, 10 August 2005 Arvilla Inez [Richey] Duke Graveside service for Arvilla Inez Richey Duke, 94, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2005 at the Rush Springs Cemetery. Arvilla Inez Richey Duke was born May 2, 1911 in Tillman County, Oklahoma the daughter of Swan Adow and Zora Cornelius [Vanscoder] Richey and died August 8, 2005 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She and Ray Duke were married August 15, 1931 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. They lived in California prior to World War II. After the War, they returned to Oklahoma living near Duncan and Purcell. She moved to Chickasha after the death of her husband in 1961. She was preceded in death by husband, February 21, 1961; one brother, Leslie Richey; two sisters, Irena Compton and Allred Flavia Dorman. Survivors include one sister, Alice Robinson of Duncan, Oklahoma; six nephews; Ron Compton and wife Joy of Paris, Texas, Leonard Richey and wife Marge of Texas, Woody Mac Robinson of Ninnekah, Ron Duke and wife Leona of Ninnekah, Deon Duke and wife Mona of Ninnekah, Danny Lane of Arizona; two nieces; Annys Brantley and husband Larry of Rush Springs, Myra Lois Fitch and husband Ken of Texas. Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
© The Chickasha Express-Star 27 May 2003 Inez [Jeter] Duke Funeral services for Inez [Jeter] Duke, 87, of Lakeside, Calif., formerly of Rush Springs, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Callaway~Smith~Cobb Chapel, Rush Springs. Rev. Elmer Whitehead will officiate. Inez [Jeter] Duke was born Nov. 15, in Hall County, Texas, and died on Thursday, May 22, 2003, at her home in Lakeside. Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway~Smith~Cobb Chapel. |
