© Becker Funeral Home Rush Springs, Oklahoma December 17, 2011 Shirley Ann [Shields] Cobble Funeral service for Shirley Cobble, 71, Lawton, will be 10:00 am Thursday at Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Dan Palesano officiating. Mrs. Cobble died Saturday, December 17, at a local hospital. Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Shirley was born December 10, 1940 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Wesley and Hazel [Randall] Shields. After her father's death her mother married Kemp Shields who raised her. She married Larry Cobble in Lawton on March 15, 1957. She enjoyed playing the piano for her church where she and her husband were Sunday School Teachers and Directors for the youth. Shirley lived for God and her family and Heaven is her greatest goal. She loved watching and entertaining her great grandchildren the last years of her life. She is survived by her husband of the home; a son, Larry Cobble, Jr. of Duncan, OK; 2 daughters, Kathy and Rick Adamson of Rush Springs, OK and Laura and Terry Williams of Cache, OK; 9 grandchildren, Jeffrey Adamson and Amy, Justin Adamson, Matthew Adamson and Julie, Christopher Adamson and Lindsey all of Rush Springs, Joshua Cobble and Rachelle, Darren Cobble and Jennifer, Sean Cobble all of Duncan, Amber Williams-Dimmitt and Matt and Heather Williams all of Cache; 12 great grandchildren, Cassie, Ricky Allyn, Makayla, Brylan, Kylee, Zachery, Kaci, Dylan, Brayden, Kaitlynne, Gavin and Kadence; a brother, Tommy Shields and wife Sandy of Ardmore, OK and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. |
