Alex Tribune Alex, Oklahoma October 6, 1938 David Poindexter Chitwood David Poindexter Chitwood had been in failing health for 2 years confined to bed the last 2 weeks. He was born Dec. 31, 1859, in Scott County, Arkansas, near Mansfield. His parents died when he was very young. He came to Choctaw nation near McAlexter in 1887. On April 28, 1999 he married Mary Frances Alexander Eufaula. They came to Alex in 1893. They had nine children. He died October 1938. |
