Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the, Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs with David Hale and Michael Nunn officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, OK. Ruby was born Wednesday, February 7, 1906 in Bailey, OK, to Thomas Jefferson Trammell and Lillie B. [Burks] Trammell. She married Ulysses Grant Brewer on December 22, 1925 in Chickasha, OK. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1990. Ruby spent most of her life in the Rush Springs area. She attended Pearidge, Slayton, and Lindsay schools. Ruby was a member of the Grady County Extension Home Demonstration, Slayton Club for over 80 years. She loved her family and friends. Ruby enjoyed visiting, traveling, gardening, canning, and taking care of flowers. She loved people. Ruby was a member of the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include, 2 Daughters, Wanda Johnson and husband Milton of Rush Springs, OK, Betty Jean Morgan of San Antonio, TX, 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren, Sister, Hazel Cannon of Dubelo, CO, Several Nieces and Nephews, Host of friends and other family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ulysses S. Grant Brewer, 2 grandchildren, Jeffry Morgan,Linda Thorstenberg, 5 brothers, Johnny, Clyde, Autie, Pete, and Ned, 6 sisters, Stella, Birdie, Aubrey, Betty, Finley, and Joyce. Pallbearers will be: Grandsons and Great Grandsons |

"Pete" Brewer, 85, of Rush Springs, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2006, in Rush Springs. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Vimy Ridge Baptist Church in Rush Springs with David Hale officiating Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Services will be held at 2:00 Thursday, March 26 at the First Assembly of God in Rush Springs, with Rev. Mike Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, OK. Juanita was born Monday, November 2, 1936 in Ft. Cobb to Jessie and Nora [Suffield] Turney. She grew up in the Carnegie area and graduated from Carnegie Schools. On January 4, 1984, she married Jim Brewer in Wichita Falls, TX. She and Jim loved to go camping together and they especially loved to go to the Beavers Bend area. Juanita worked as a waitress and when she wasn't working or traveling, she enjoyed working in her flower beds and solving find-a-word puzzles. Survivors include, husband, Jimmy Brewer of Rush Springs, son, Daniel Lee Jeffries of MS, brother, Percey Turney & wife Pat of Wichita, KS, sister, Lois Walton & husband Leon of Carnegie, Several Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces & Nephews, 3 Step-Sons, Greg Brewer & wife Laura, Scotty Brewer & wife Cindy, Tony Brewer & wife Kim, 2 Step-Daughters, Janna Jasso & husband Rob, Patsy Dupree. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Lanita James, Anita Jeffries and Melissa Vernon, brothers Leon Turney, Homer Turney, and James Turney, and a sister, Wanda Gillis. Pallbearers will be: Scotty Brewer, Cody Brewer, Zach Brewer, Wade Turney, Lance Turney, Tony Brewer & Rob Jasson |
