Thelma Oleta [Long] Blevins

Funeral service for Thelma Oleta Blevins, 78, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Thelma Oleta Blevins was born on March 3, 1928 at Fletcher, Oklahoma to Grace and William Long.

Thelma went home to her heavenly Father on May 1, 2006.

She grew up around Rocky Ford and attended school at Rocky Ford and Cement. Thelma met the love of her life, Jack Demcy Blevins, and they were married on September 20, 1944. She was a homemaker. She never had kids of her own, but she was a mom to a lot of nieces and nephews that will be lost without her.

She was preceded in death by: her husband: Jack Demcy Blevins; her parents: William and Grace Long; two sisters: Velma Hazel Miller and Wanda Mae Martin; four brothers, William Elvin Long, Leo Edward Long, Marcelles Lee Long and Bobby Joe Long.

Survivors include: one sister: Peggy Ann Cox of Chickasha; brother-in-law: Roy T. Miller of Chickasha; sisters-in-law: Frances Long, Mary Long and Carrie Long all of Rush Springs; stepson: Leroy Blevins; stepdaughter: Martha Becker; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
