Harry Lynn Alsobrook
Harry Lynn Alsobrook, 67, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 in Chickasha.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, with President Robertson, Larry Hatfield and Ernest Muncrief officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.
Lynn was born Thursday, Feb. 15, 1945, in Bray to Ernie Alsobrook and Winnie Hazel [Palmore] Alsobrook. Lynn lived in the Marlow and Rush Springs area most of his life and graduated from Marlow High School in 1963. He was a member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard, serving as a military police for nine years. Lynn was CLEET certified and worked in law enforcement in the area, including the Marlow Police Department from 1972-1995, and served as Chief of Police in Rush Springs. Presently, Lynn was working for the Grady County Criminal Justice Authority.
On May 28, 1976, Lynn married Marisue Bond. Their marriage was sealed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lynn and Marisue were foster parents for 18 years, fostering over 250 children. Lynn was a member of the Lion's Club and the Red, Red Rose,
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mildred Lee Swanson.
Pallbearers will be Capt.. Larry Crabb, Brad Hamilton, Leroy Walker, Joe Lynn Alsobrook, Daniel Joe Alsobrook and Charles Lynn Alsobrook.
