Kenneth E. West
Funeral services for Kenneth E. West, 90, of Verden, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2002, in Verden First Baptist Church Rev. Edward Whitley will officiate. Kenneth E. West was born March 20, 1912, and died on Tuesday, June 4, 2002, in Oklahoma City.
Services are under the direction of McRay's Verden Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Kenneth E. West, age 90, of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2002, in the Verden First Baptist Church. Rev. Edward Whitley will officiate and Rev. Leon Shade will Assist.
Kenneth West was born the son of George C. West and Opha Allen West on March 29, 1912. He died June 4, 2002, in Oklahoma City.
Kenneth was born on the family farm west of Verden. He graduated from Verden High School in 1929. Kenneth continued farming with his family after graduation. He moved to Pryor in 1935, where he met Vena Mae Casey.
They were married on July 16, 1939, and made their home southwest of Pocasset.
In 1943, Kenneth and Vena Mae moved back to the home place and have continued to live in the Verden area.
He farmed and ranched all of his life. Kenneth enjoyed feeding and caring for his animals, traveling, and being with his family.
Mr. West was a member and deacon of the Verden First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in which he was a 32nd degree mason and held various offices.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, two sisters, Veda Fait and Mildred Cory, one son, Harold West, and one granddaughter, Andrea West.
Survivors include: wife: Vena Mae West, of the home; daughter-in-law, Betty West, of Chickasha; daughter and husband, Linda and Tollie Bibb, of Norman; son and wife, Donald and Sheryl West, of Gautier, Mississippi; son and wife, Larry and Susan West, of Garland, Texas; son, Jerry West, of Rolla, Missouri; brother, Allen West, of Oklahoma City; ten grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha under the direction of the McRay's Verden Funeral Home.
