Donald Jesse Watson

Funeral services for Donald Jesse Watson, age 64, of Yukon, OK, were at 10 a.m. Aug. 19, 2003, at Zion Lutheran Church, 7701 W. Britton Rd, Oklahoma City, with Pastor Ronald Christie officiating. The placement of his casket into the family mausoleum was at 2:00 p.m. in the Rose Hill Cemetery, 10th and Alabama, Chickasha, OK. Services were under the direction of Smith and Turner Mortuary, 201 E. Main, Yukon, OK.

Don was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Chickasha, OK, to Leona Inez (Bowie) and Jesse Elliott Watson, and died Aug. 16, 2003, in Oklahoma City, OK.

He married Patsy Jean Malone on Nov. 23, 1956, and after his graduation from OSU, they moved to St. Louis, MO, for several years before moving back to Oklahoma, where Don began working for G.E. in 1963 and retired in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, and son, Donald Jesse II 'Jay', daughter, Denise Janell 'Jan'. daughter-in-law, Tynia; grandson, Brandon Michael; granddaughter, Jacey Bret; two aunts, Dot Bowie, Bethany, OK, and Geneva (Irwin) Watson, OR.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, DeAnn; grandparents, Annie E. (Rockett) and Thomas E. Watson, Myrtle M. (Smith) and Marvin D. Bowie.
