Garvin Lee Watkins

Funeral service for Garvin Lee Watkins, 66, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha.

Garvin Lee Watkins was born September 23, 1940 in Alex, Oklahoma the son of Jack R. and Francis [Husband] Watkins and died April 2, 2007 in Chickasha. Garvin attended Chickasha Public Schools.

He was a concrete contractor for 25 years and owned Watkins Muffler Shop for 20 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. Garvin enjoyed collecting older vehicles, Nascar races and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by: Mother and father; Jack Robert Watkins; Randall Watkins; two sisters: Geneva Watkins, Alberta Griswold.

Survivors include: one daughter: Cindy McCool and husband Virgil of McAlester, Oklahoma; Granddaughter: Sabrina Heiskill and husband Chris and son Sherman of Dibble, Oklahoma; Granddaughter: Machelle Wilson of Chickasha; five brothers: Thurman Watkins of Paradise, California; Billy Watkins and wife Sandra of Chickasha; Harris Griswold and wife Iona of Placerville, California; George Griswold and wife Joan of Byron, California; Wayne Griswold and wife Evelyn of Chickasha; two sisters: Joy Griswold of California; Geneva LeBleu and husband Paul.

Special thanks to Phillip Workman, Kim and Ron Wilson and Jerry Harris for attending to him during his extensive illness.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
