Ann [Adwan] Wadsworth

Funeral service for Ann Adwan Wadsworth, age 102 of Norman, Oklahoma formerly of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007, in the Epworth United Methodist Church. Rev. Rockford Johnson will officiate.

Ann was born the daughter of Khalil Adwan and Kahla Farha Adwan on November 28, 1904, in Duke, Indian Territory. She died on June 27, 2007, in Norman.

Ann lived in Oklahoma City early in life until moving to Henrietta in her teenage years to live with her brother. She married Evard W. Wadsworth on September 17, 1934, in Oklahoma City and made their home in Henrietta.They moved to Chickasha in 1935, and started Wadsworth Oil Company where she worked as bookkeeper.

Several years after she and her husband retired, they moved to Norman.

While in Chickasha, Ann was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. After moving to Norman, she was a member of the Goodrich Methodist Church.

Ann was involved with the Full Circle Senior Center in Norman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, and her husband.

Survivors include: Son: Bill Wadsworth of Occidental, California; Daughter: Juneann Murphy of Norman; Granddaughter: Cynthia Sholes of Redwood City, California; Granddaughter: Sally Savino of Murphy, Texas; Granddaughter: Pam Goode of San Francisco, California; Granddaughter: Amanda Ogden of Austin, Texas; Nine Great-Grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

The casket will be open at the funeral home, but closed at the service.
