© Chickasha Express Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, November 17, 1893 1850 ~ October 27, 1893 Died: At his home in Chickasha, Ind. Ter., Friday, October 27. at Eight o'clock, p.m., James S. Trimble. So quietly did he pass away that those watching with him hardly knew when his spirit took its flight from the earthly tenement of clay; so passed away a good man, and as he had lived, quietly away from life. Mr Trimble was born in Missouri, removing to Arkansas while yet a young man. He had been a resident of Chickasha nearly ever since it has been a town. He had been a member of the Christian church for twenty years, and while never saying very much about spiritual affairs, yet his life was a daily exponent of Christian conduct, gentle, charitable and obliging and a tender and loving husband and father. He leaves a sorrowing wife and little daughter, and many relatives and friends in other states, and friends here who sympathize with them in their great grief. The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church by Rev E. Hamilton; a large number of sympathizing friends were present, both at the church and cemetery on the calm and beautiful Sabbath afternoon, when all that was mortal of our friend, was laid to rest until the resurection morn.
