B, Tinsley was called home Mary Elizabeth Johnson was born in Cedar County, Missouri, in 1861, was married to J. B. Tinsley in 1876. Mrs Tinsley united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church when quite young, and held her membership with the C. P. church here, being a member of the Home Missionary Society, and was always present at the church services whenever possible for her to attend. Mrs Tinsley was the devoted mother of twelve children, all of whom, with the exception of one daughter, Mrs Effie Mooney who died about two years ago, are living in this city. There are nine girls, Margaret, Carmen, Jennie, Gussie, Julia, Lucy, Bertie, Dennie, one year old baby Stella, with two sons, Edward and Jerry who with the husband J. H. Tinsley, mourn the departure of a good mother and wife. Mrs Tinsley had resided about three miles west of the city for nine years, and last January the family moved into their nice new home on Dakota avenue, where they expected to enjoy the advantages of church and school privileges, but death has removed the mother to a fairer home, where there is no sin, sorrow, pain, or any more death. Funeral services held this afternoon at three o'clock, at the residence, 819 Dakota avenue, Rev Hayes, pastor of the C. P. church speaking words of sympathy and consolation to the troubled hearts of the bereaved family. Burial was at Odd Fellows Cemetery |
