"Dick" Thomas, 88, of California, will be held at 10 am Friday in the chapel of Seviers' Funeral Home. Dr. Jerold McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Thomas was a merchant at Alex before moving to Chickasha and to California in 1958. His wife, Myrtle, died in 1958. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. T. L. Julian, Ventura, Calif., Mrs. Don Paschal, Borger, and Mrs. Jewell Bruner, Dallas, Tex. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. |
© The Chickasha Daily Express Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, December 17, 1958 March 22, 1890 ~ December 17, 1958 Mrs. Florence Myrtle Thomas, 70, 716 South 15th, died at 11 am today in a local hospital. Arrangements will be announced by Sevier's Chickasha Funeral Home. Mrs. Thomas had been in failing health the past 10 years with a heart ailment and suffered a sudden attack Tuesday afternoon. She was born March 25, 1888, and had been a resident of Grady County 42 years and of Chickasha the past 30 years. Before coming to Chickasha she and her husband, Richard A. Thomas, were associated in the mercantile business for 12 years in Alex. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 457 in Alex and First Baptist Church in Chickasha. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. T. L. Julian of Ventura, Calif., Mrs. Don Paschal of Borger, Tex., and Mrs. Jewel Bruner of Dallas, Tex. © The Chickasha Daily Express Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, December 18, 1958 March 22, 1890 ~ December 17, 1958 Services for Mrs. Florence Myrtle Thomas will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Hause officiating.
