Homer Leroy Thomas
November 19, 1931 ~June 20, 2007


Funeral services for Homer Leroy Thomas, 75, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

Homer Leroy Thomas was born November 19, 1931 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Alva Ray and Carrie Bell [Palmer] Thomas and died June 20, 2007 in Chickasha.

Mr. Thomas lived in Chickasha all of his life. He graduated from Chickasha High Sxhool in 1949.

Mr. Thomas and Charlene Stanton were married February 10, 1951 in Chickasha.

He owned and operated Hopkins Plumbing and Heating since 1971.

Mr. Thomas enjoyed fishing and was an all-sports fan.

He was a wonderful husband, father and loved his grandchildren. He was a good Christian man who was always kind, considerate and patient. He was a faithful member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: His parents.

Survivors include: Wife: Charlene Thomas of the home; two daughters: Karen L. Thomas of Muskogee; Larisa L. Altman and husband Ron W. of Moore; one son: Jerry R. Thomas and wife Lorri of Chickasha; Grandchildren: Travis Altman of South Korea [U.S. Army]; Nikolas Altman of Moore; Shad Altman of Chickasha; Milanea Callahan of Amber; Alexis "Lexi" Thomas of Chickasha; Landon Thomas of Chickasha; two brothers: Billy R. Thomas and wife Lavelle of Chickasha; Kenneth Thomas and wife Kathy of Falls Church, VA; one sister: Fern Bennett of Gore.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Charlene [Stanton] Thomas
December 16, 1933 ~ June 22, 2010


Funeral service for Charlene Thomas, 76, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

Charlene Thomas was born December 16, 1933 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma the daughter of Charlie and Lillie [Combs] Stanton. She died June 22, 2010 at her home in Chickasha.

Charlene moved to Chickasha as a young child. She graduated from Chickasha High School.

She met Leroy Thomas while in high school, and they married February 10, 1951 in Chickasha.

She and her husband owned and operated Hopkins Plumbing from 1971-2004. She also worked for First National Bank of Chickasha for over 30 years.

Charlene was a member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: her husband: Leroy Thomas June 20, 2007, Parents, two brothers: Eldred Stanton and Doris Stanton, one sister: Norma May.

Survivors include two children: Karen Thomas of Muskogee, Okla., Larisa Altman and husband, Ron of Moore, Okla., Jerry Thomas and wife, Lorri of Chickasha, Okla., six grandchildren: Travis Altman, Nikolas Altman, Lexi Thomas, Landon Thomas, Shad Altman and Milanea Callahan, two great grandchildren: Calin Altman and Adayla Callahan.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
