Julia Etta [Carnes] Story
Funeral service for Julia Etta Story, 90, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2002, at the Bible Baptist Church. Julia Etta Story was born December 13, 1911, in Alex, Oklahoma, the daughter of Benjamin and Julia (Miller) Carnes, and died February 7, 2002, in Oklahoma City following a long illness.
Mrs. Story lived in Chickasha most of her married life.
Her husband, J.W. Story, preceded her in death in 1981.
She worked in several area nursing homes until her retirement from Eventide in 1981.
Mrs. Story was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and four brothers and three grandsons and one granddaughter.
She is survived by and will be missed by one daughter: Gail Nixon-Chavers and husband, Jerry, of Tuttle, Okla.; four sons; Jimmie Story and wife, Beverly, of Oklahoma City, Alford Story, of Chickasha, Ben Story, of Chickasha, Gerald Story and wife, Verna, of Oklahoma City; 19 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
