John D. Stelting
John Stelting passed away on February 24, 2005. He was born on December 20, 1918 to John F. and Mary Elizabeth Stelting in Colony, Oklahoma. John married Marie Lancaster on July 6, 1945 in Cordell, OK and was blessed with four sons and two daughters.
John was a member of the American Legion and served in the U. S. Army during WWll.
John was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Preceding John in death are his parents, and two brothers, Abraham and Walter Stelting.
The survivors include his loving wife, Marie, his four sons, Jimmie Stelting, Ricky Stelting and his wife Gail, Ronnie Stelting and his wife Gay, Johnnie Stelting and his wife Lori, his daughters Linda Caldwell and her husband James, and Maritta Ann of Fort Worth, Texas. John also leaves behind three sisters, Helen Peacock, Mary Penner, Til Attabery, and one brother, George Stelting.
John will be missed by all especially his grandchildren, Randy and Terra Caldwell, Misty and David Miller, Kevin and Jennifer Caldwell, Sheila and Michael Mainka, Tosh and Wes Caveness, Brian and Shelly Wilson, Brandy and Casey Pollock, Kristi Axsmith, Missy Stelting, Dustin Hill, and of course his great grandchildren, Meagan Caldwell, Tiffani and Breanna Miller, Kenlea Caldwell, Zachary and Zoe Mainka, Trevor Caveness, Braycee Wilson and Jake and Sally Pollock.
Services for John will be on Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Freewill Baptist Church, Lindsay, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Griffith officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
