Lucille Davis Smith

She was born Nov. 25, 1899, in Decater, Ala., and died Feb. 22, 1987, in Chickasha.

She came to Chickasha in 1919 and had lived here since that time.

She and Frank Davis were married in 1918 in Paradise, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1946. She later married R.W. Smith in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1961.

Mrs. Smith was a practical nurse and had served on the election board for many years. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by one son, Beuren F. Davis, on Feb. 25, 1978; by three brothers, Ford McKelvey, R.B. McKelvey and J.A. McKelvey; one sister, Christine McKelvey; one grandson, Samuel F. Davis on Sept. 25, 1977.

Survivors include one son, Bob J. Davis of Madill; one sister, Molly Mae Fullerton of Leota, Kan.; one brother, Thomas McKelvey of Chickasha; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Funeral for L. Lucille Davis Smith, 86, Chickasha, was held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1987, in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home with Harrell Helf, minister of the Northside Church of Christ, officiating.

Music was by the Northside Church of Christ Choir.

Pallbearers were Quinton Costello, Harold Bartell, Paul Arnold, Dean Wallace, Lester Talbert, Ray Smith.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
