Gladys Modine [Endsley] Richardson

Funeral service for Gladys Modine Endsley Richardson, 78, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Gladys Modine Richardson was born December 22, 1929 in Cement, OK the daughter of Emmett and Thelma [Roberts] Endsley.

She died Monday, June 30, 2008 in Chickasha, OK.

Mrs. Richardson moved to the Grady County area in 1950 when she married Bennie Eli Richardson on June 29, 1950.

She worked at various grocery stores, was a hospital volunteer for five years and retired from Wal-Mart in 2000.

Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant daughter Dottie Carol Richardson, an infant twin brother, her sister Vada Goode, a nephew and a niece.

She is survived by her stepdaughter Melba Pettijohn,stepson Sonny Richardson and wife, Fleeta, grandchildren: Clayton Williams and Joy, Gary Williams and wife Teresaall of Chickasha, LaDonna Haycraft of Oklahoma City, Greg Richardson and wife Tina of Guthrie, 10 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, sister Catherine Lovelady and husband T.J. of Oklahoma City, sister-in-law Dorothy Jolley of Blanchard and several special nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
