Leona [Casey] Norris

Graveside service for Leona Norris of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2007, in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Kenyon Bush will officiate. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2007.

Leona was born the daughter of John William Casey and Alice Fletcher Casey on September 13, 1924, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She died on May 3, 2007, in Chickasha.

Leona lived in the Chickasha area most of her life. She married Charley "Pete" Norris on April 14, 1941, in Chickasha. They lived in Los Angeles, California, for a short time then moved back to Chickasha. They made their home southwest of Chickasha since 1956. Leona was a member of the Laverty Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Waulita Onita Purvis, one brother, Earl L. Casey, and her husband, Charley R. Norris.

Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law: John Ray & Elizabeth Norris of Round Rock, Texas; Granddaughter: Johnetta Rae Norris of Austin, Texas; Grandson: Jack DeWayne Norris of Chickasha; Grandson: Sohn Raymond Norris of Round Rock, Texas; Grandson: Jason Rene Norris of Round Rock, Texas; Nephew & Spouse: Mike & Jan Norris of Washington, Louisiana.

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
