Bertye Dale [Bryan] Odom Mills

Funeral service for Bertye Dale Odom Mills, 90, of Chickasha will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday July 26, 2005 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Bertye Dale Odom Mills was born November 14, 1914 at Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of H. P. and Grace (Duncan) Bryan. She died Saturday July 23, 2005 in Chickasha.

She had lived in Chickasha most of her life. She had worked as a sales clerk at Hicks Department Store and later at Sonya's Dress store. She retired in 1969.

She married Kenneth Odom in 1934 and he preceded her in death in 1967. She married Austin Mills in 1969 and he preceded her in death in 1985.

She was a member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

She was also preceded in death by two grandsons Darrell Rutledge and Clint Pruitt and one brother Akins Bryan.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Rutledge of Chickasha, Hazel Cox and her husband Allen of Chickasha; stepdaughter, Nancy Gladin and her husband Gary of Oakley, Kansas; five grandchildren, Cindy and Mark Novotny, Melanie and Darryl Doggess, Nancy Boykin, Zach and Pat Gladin and Jud Gladin; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
