James McCanless
Graveside funeral for James McCanless, 88, Hurst, Texas, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 1984, in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Leslie Shearer of Epworth United Methodist Church officiating. Mr. McCanless was born May 1, 1895, at Union City and died Wednesday, March 21, 1984, at his home in Hurst.
He married Elsie May Elliott, who preceded him in death in 1977.
He was formerly of Amber and Chickasha, and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Owens of Hurst, Texas, and Lavon Wampler of Tuttle; three grandchildren, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Taylor, Jack Wampler and Mrs. David (Karen) Morris; and six great grandchildren.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
