Eugene Gerrard Mahone
Rites are pending for Eugene Gerrard Mahone, 79, who died about 5:15 pm Saturday in his home, 802 Minnesota. A Spanish-American War veteran, he came here in 1901, and was in the grocery business in Chickasha and Norge until five years ago.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Mae; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Becker, Altus; and Mrs. George Sheppard, Chickasha; two sons, Cpl. William G. Mahone of Los Angeles and Jack Mahone of Chickasha; a brother, Roland; and four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Birgin, Mrs. E. Middlebrooks, Miss Mary Mahone and Miss Cora Mahone of Georgia.

GERRARD MAHONE RITES CONDUCTEDServices were this morning for Gerrard Mahone who died Saturday afternoon. Rev. Bonner Teeter officiated at the services which were held in the chapel of the Brown Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cecil Benson sang "The Old Rugged Cross; and "Where We Will Never Grow Old". She was accompanied by Mrs. Wessie Burney Ray.
Pallbearers were C. V. Leonard, Edward Martin, Franz Tewksbury, Alvin Sampson, E. T. Reese and B. J. Rogstad.
Honorary pallbearers were G. W. Thomas, R. D. Martin, J. H. Bowersox, Willis Field, Ralph Watkins, Dr. Walter Baze, O. H. Cowling and T. J. Sheppard.
Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Brown Funeral Home.
