O'Ree Jones Libby

O'Ree Jones Libby, 98 year-old Grove resident, passed away Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Grove Nursing Center following an illness.

O'Ree was born November 1, 1905, in Chickasha, Indian Territory to Mac and Beulah McBurnett.

She attended and graduated from Chickasha High School.

She was a housewife and doll maker as well as a member of the Church of Christ, Grove, Okla.

O'Ree was first united in marriage to O.B. Jones in 1930. He preceded her in death in 1982. She moved from Siloam Springs, Ark. to Grove in 1986. O'Ree was united in marriage to Ray Libby in 1986.

Surviving family members include: her husband, Ray, of the home, one nephew, LeRoy Thompson and his wife Jane of Hinton, Okla., and close friends, Jim and Linda MacDonald of Grove, Okla.

Services will be held in the sanctuary of the Church of Christ, Grove at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2003. Minister Doug Rainbolt will officiate.

Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 26 at Rose Hill cemetery in Chickasha.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Church of Christ in Grove. Services are entrusted to Turner Funeral Chapel of Grove.
