Martha Arleen "Granny" Ison Hill

Martha Arleen (Granny) Ison Hill was born October 6, 1923 in Rocky Ford, Oklahoma to Tom and Martha Hill. Arleen attended school in Chickasha where she graduated. Granny was a homemaker and also worked as a nurse in the old Chickasha Hospital.

Granny was a very independent lady always taking care of herself and friends and family. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, Kechi Alumni Association, pre-war automobile swapmeet. Granny was a coin collector, loved the outdoors and traveling.

She is survived by her sons Sandy Hill and wife Shelly of Chickasha, David Hill and wife Bobbie Sue of Chickasha; daughter-in-law Carolyn Hill of Eugene, Oregon; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Tom Hill, Jr. She passed away February 28, 2005 at 81 years.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2005 at the Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chickasha. Pastor David Klumpp will officiate with interment held in the Rosehill Cemetery, Chickasha. Arrangements made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
