Bobby Lee Hays
October 4, 1928 ~ July 18, 2008

Bobby Lee Hays - Funeral services for Bobby L. Hays, 79, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 25, 2008, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Johnny Tims officiating.

Bobby Hays was born October 4, 1928, in Hollis, Oklahoma, the son of Robert and Mae [West] Hays. He died July 18, 2008, in Chickasha. He grew up in Hollis, and as a young teen he went to work in the wheat harvest where he traveled throughout Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. Bobby married the love of his life, Betty Brehm, on June 6, 1953, in Clinton, Oklahoma. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Early in life Bob had a love for cars, and he started working with his dad and uncles buying and trading cars. In 1953, he went to work at Click Chevrolet in Altus, Oklahoma. In 1965, he moved his family to Chickasha where he owned and operated Bob Hays Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge, in Chickasha until his retirement. Bob was a proud veteran of the US Army, a member of the Optimist Club, member of the First Baptist Church, was very active in the Toys For Tots drive, and he was an avid and excellent golfer.

He was preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Pauline Brehm. Survivors include his wife Betty, of Chickasha; two sons: Tony Hays, of Chickasha and Claudy Hays, of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Paula and Garland Nall, of Chickasha; brother, Don Hays, of San Diego, California; sister and brother-in-law: Jean and Waylon Newton, of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
